I never set out to become an afterlife investigator. In fact, if you had told me in my 20s that I’d one day devote my life to studying life after death, I would have laughed. Back then, I was a private investigator in Boston working on workers' comp, fraud, personal injury, and even murder investigations. My world revolved around evidence, logic, and facts—nothing more.
But when my father died of lung cancer at 64, everything changed. I was 34, grieving, and filled with questions I’d never dared to ask before: Is there life after death? If so, how could we ever know for sure? And could my father still be aware of me, still watching over me somehow?
Those questions became the beginning of a journey that has now spanned decades.
From Skeptic to Investigator of the Afterlife
With my investigator’s training, I approached the subject of the afterlife the only way I knew how—by following the evidence. I tested hundreds of psychics and mediums around the globe, examined near-death experiences, past-life regressions, spirit communication, and countless other phenomena. Whenever possible, I put myself through the experiences firsthand, so I could report back not on theory but on what I personally observed.
Over time, my research revealed patterns, truths, and consistencies that convinced me: human consciousness does survive death. My skepticism softened, but my investigative standards never did. This balance—open-minded curiosity guided by rigorous testing—made me one of the few recognized authorities in this field who isn’t a psychic or medium myself.
A Trusted Voice in the Psychic & Afterlife Field
Because of my investigative background, producers, publishers, journalists, and even law enforcement agencies began turning to me as a resource. They wanted someone who could cut through the noise, spot the difference between genuine ability and fraud, and explain this mysterious world in clear, practical terms.
To help the public find practitioners they could trust, I founded BestPsychicMediums.com in 2002 and then BestPsychicDirectory.com in 2007. These sites have since become two of the most trusted online resources for locating credible psychics, mediums, and spiritual practitioners.
In 2011, I created Afterlife TV, where I share interviews and insights with people all over the world who are seeking answers, healing, and peace about life after death. And in 2014, I wrote Answers About the Afterlife: A Private Investigator’s 15-Year Research Unlocks the Mysteries of Life After Death, which continues to comfort the grieving and inspire the curious.
My Guiding Principles
At the heart of everything I do are three values: evidence, ethics, and integrity. I believe truth should never be based on blind faith, but also that truth seekers deserve compassion and respect as they explore life’s deepest mysteries.
Some in the psychic field see me as a tough critic because of the high standards I demand from practitioners. But for the people I serve—the grieving spouse, the adult child longing to know their parent is okay, the terminally ill searching for peace around death—I am known as a trustworthy voice who puts their needs first.
Why I Continue This Work
What began as a search to know if my father still existed after death has grown into a mission to help millions of people feel comfort, peace, and hope. My goal is not just to prove that the afterlife exists, but to demonstrate how this knowledge can transform the way we live, by making us more compassionate, loving, and at peace with life and death alike.
